Microsoft Teams coming soon for Cisco devices

The two tech giants announce their partnership. What does this mean for the business world?

Microsoft and Cisco announced their upcoming partnership at the Microsoft Ignite event mid-October. In other words, Microsoft Teams will soon become available on Cisco devices. By early 2023, the first devices, including the Cisco Room Bar, Cisco Board Pro and Cisco Room Kit Pro, are expected to be certified for Microsoft Teams, with more to follow.

The fusion of Cisco's high-quality video conferencing technology and Microsoft's first-class collaboration software is expected to give users more flexible and far-reaching ways to collaborate with colleagues, customers and partners. Thanks to its interoperability, Microsoft Teams can be used natively on all certified Cisco devices in the future, while Cisco Webex meetings and all their features are equally supported. This means that users can decide for themselves which platform and which device they prefer to use.

Especially for companies using both platforms or considering moving to Microsoft Teams, this is a great opportunity to combine Cisco's powerful, reliable video conferencing technology with the feature-rich Microsoft Teams platform. Thus, nothing will stand in the way of your high-quality meetings in a highly professional Microsoft Teams environment.
