Success Story: DEKOM in the district of Ostholstein

The Ostholstein district has recently been able to enjoy their new digitised meeting room.

About the district

Founded on 26 April 1970, with a population of approx. 202,014 (as of 2021), the district of Ostholstein forms the Fehmarn Belt European Region together with the Danish Storstrøms Amt.

Situated on the Ostee, with around 16 nature reserves and Holstein Switzerland, the district is considered a popular holiday destination for culture and nature lovers from all over Germany.

The administrative headquarters are in Eutin, where DEKOM AG has now also been able to become a small part of this region, which is shaped by culture and history.

The task

The district of Ostholstein came to us with the request to convert their current meeting room, with the help of the latest technology, into a hybrid conference room in which it would be possible for members of parliament and citizens to participate in meetings without barriers and on an equal footing, regardless of their location.

With the help of our Key Account Manager Arwed Plate, who was responsible for communication and interaction with the client on site, this challenge had to be met.

The focus was on the seamless live transmission of the meeting itself, but also of the participating delegates.
