Cisco TelePresence Conductor

The Cisco TelePresence Conductor simplifies the use of multi-user video conferencing by intelligently allocating meetings, and optimises the utilisation of resources available on multipoint conferencing servers (MCUs). The Cisco TelePresence Conductor receives calls for each multipoint conference and redirects these to the nearest available MCU (load balancing). If an MCU fails, planned conferences are immediately distributed to the remaining devices (failover).

The Cisco TelePresence Conductor also allows identity numbers to be allocated to employees for using virtual meeting rooms, considerably simplifying spontaneous invitations to video conferences. The Cisco TelePresence Conductor helps to further the use of existing MCU resources and to significantly increase the availability of multipoint resources.
