Polycom Video Border Proxy™ (VBP) ST series The Video Border Proxy series is Polycom’s traversal solution. As border controller, the VBP forms a secure connection between internal and external networks. Polycom offers specialist devices with and without firewall functionality depending on the field of application. The ST series is an H.460-capable link between remote video devices and the gatekeeper or Polycom Converged Management Application (CMA), and allows internal devices to dial into the public network, to be contacted from outside via a central point, and to connect to desktop video clients within the company.Polycom Video Border Proxy™ (VBP) E series As border controller, the VBP forms a secure connection between internal and external networks. Polycom offers specialist devices with and without firewall functionality depending on the field of application. Unlike the ST series, the E series has an integrated gatekeeper for up to 100 registrations. The VBP E solutions provide network and security solutions for protecting existing communications systems.
