Vendors, among which Samsung, Lifesize, NEC, Cisco, StarLeaf and Polycom presented the latest technology and the vision on the workplace of the future.
The event, organized by DEKOM Netherlands, answered questions like: what are the trends in the market of video conferencing and media technology? What does cloud mean for the future of IT in organisations? What exactly is the role of Skype for Business? And not to forget: how do mobility and unified communications merge in this business?
A series of power sessions and a keynote allowed 8 different organisations to present their vision on the future in this exciting business. The event was closed with a traditional combination of business and pleasure with a boat tour through the harbours of Rotterdam, accompanied by several awards for vendors and customers (for outstanding contribution and innovation) and a taste of Jenever (Dutch Gin) from various local producers. This is the Conferencing & Seaport Day.
Björn Heisterkamp, CEO of DEKOM Netherlands comments:
"The Conferencing and Seaport Day is a typical DEKOM-tradition. Following the example of our German mothership, we now presented our customers and suppliers what we are capable of. This business is a chain of long term valuable partner relationships and we demonstrated so on this day. We are extremely satisfied about how it went and on the positive feedback we got from both partners and customers."
The Conferencing & Seaport Day is an event that takes place annually since 2008 and is already characterised in the market as one of the most important showcases for media technology. The next CSD in Hamburg will be on the 3rd of June in 2016.
