LED Walls for the Conference Room
Large, bright, high-resolution displays are essential for effective and successful meetings. Of course, the equipment should be as quiet as possible. In the past, projectors and LCD displays could be found in every meeting room, but now the market is moving to LED walls. LED walls have many advantages over traditional projectors and LCD displays: they have high brightness, dynamic color contrast, and are virtually silent. In addition, LED technology allows digital screens to be built in any shape or size without seams or bezels.
For more and more companies, fine pitch LED walls are a good alternative for their conference rooms. LED walls are flexible, scalable, seamless and robust, making them a perfect replacement for current display technology.
All-in-one LED Displays
Many manufacturers offer turnkey LED products for the conference room, called all-in-one displays. These products typically have native resolutions in various fixed sizes depending on the pixel pitch. Traditional videoconferencing features are integrated into these displays, such as wireless content sharing, multiple source selection, USB access, remote control, and front panel controls. All components of the all-in-one displays, from the LED module itself to the control system, are interchangeable. Selection criteria for the right LED Wall
Resolution and Pixel Pitch
To find the right LED wall for your needs, the first step is to determine the application: What will the display be used for? The selection criteria such as pixel pitch, resolution, brightness, contrast and size of the LED wall will vary depending on the application.
One of the most important factors when purchasing an LED wall is the sharpness of the image. Getting the right pixel pitch is critical. This also affects the overall size of the LED wall. The size of the meeting room must also be taken into consideration when planning. The required resolution can only be achieved within the limits of the room dimensions and taking into account the required pixel pitch.
The optimal viewing distance
Pixel pitch affects the viewing distance from the screen. If you stand too close to the screen, you will not see a sharp image, which will greatly affect the viewing experience. There are many rules about the relationship between pixel pitch and viewing distance. A common rule of thumb is that for a pixel pitch of 1 mm, the viewing distance should be at least 2 meters. So for a P1.5 fine pitch LED, the recommended viewing distance is 3 meters. This distance should be maintained in any case and is very suitable for medium-sized meeting rooms.
