Crestron Automate VX is a multi-camera switching system designed to automate speaker tracking in medium to large meeting rooms, classrooms, and conference spaces. It works by combining multiple PTZ cameras with voice-activated switching and camera presets, so remote participants always see the active speaker face-on without manual intervention.
The system integrates with Crestron control systems and third-party AV components via standard protocols. It supports up to 8 cameras and can expand up to 32 using additional processing units. Automate VX uses room microphones and a voice-activated control algorithm to switch camera angles in real time. The output is a continuous video stream via HDMI or NDI® that can be connected to video conferencing platforms or recording systems.
This setup reduces the need for camera operators and simplifies AV workflows, especially in multi-purpose or high-traffic environments like boardrooms or training centers.
