Long or narrow rooms often require PTZ cameras with intelligent auto-framing, while U-shaped or irregular layouts benefit from AI-powered speaker tracking to ensure every participant remains visible.
Ceiling height influences acoustics
Higher ceilings increase echo and reverberation. In rooms above approximately 3.2 metres, beamforming microphones, acoustic baffles and sound-absorbing materials often become essential for clear speech intelligibility.
Surface materials affect sound quality
Hard reflective surfaces such as glass, concrete and plasterboard increase unwanted reflections and flutter echo. Carpets, curtains, acoustic panels and upholstered furniture help reduce reverberation to create a more comfortable meeting environment.
Furniture placement affects the meeting experience
Glossy table surfaces can create reflections on camera, windows behind speakers reduce image quality through backlighting, and seating arrangements determine how effectively participants can be captured by the camera system.
