This year’s Wainhouse Research point9 Europe event takes place on 16 September 2009 with the theme of “Using Video Conferencing Beyond the Corporate Network”.

The Point Nine User Forum (P9) is a meeting place for managers in companies which make intensive use of conferencing solutions. This independent association, created by Wainhouse Research, meets several times each year in North America and Europe. Considerable knowledge and experience is shared between the participants, along with discussions of their projects and the challenges these present.

The intention this year is to determine, through presentations and discussions, how video conferencing can make the leap from an internal corporate application to a mainstream communications medium. What are the current technical and cultural obstacles, and what solutions exist to make it easier for multinational companies to more effectively implement video conferencing with partners, suppliers and customers?

DEKOM (formerly ViDOFON) is the only video conferencing specialist in Europe to be authorised and certified by well-known manufacturers including LifeSize, Cisco (Tandberg), Polycom and Sony. “Because of our years of practical experience with all manufacturers on the video conferencing market, we are familiar with the solutions on the market and with customer needs, and know exactly what measures are necessary to guarantee lasting communications success for a company,” says Jörg Weisflog, chairman of DEKOM AG (formerly ViDOFON AG).

Together with LifeSize Communications, also a sponsor of point9, DEKOM (formerly ViDOFON) will contribute to the event with a presentation, live video conference links, and a technical exhibition.
