DEKOM AG supplies gmp Architects

DEKOM and gmp embrace LifeSize video conferencing systems

15.06.2012 -

Germany’s full service partner for visual communication, the Hamburg-based DEKOM AG, provides video conferencing systems for world-famous architectural office gmp (von Gerkan, Marg and Partners).

Gmp has over 500 employees across 10 offices, both in Germany and abroad, as well as communicating by video conference. When high definition video conferencing technology was implemented, the Berlin and Beijing offices were equipped with the latest media technology. gmp and DEKOM opted for LifeSize video conferencing technology to allow the sites to communicate and exchange high resolution data and screen content smoothly.

In the past 45 years, Meinhard von Gerkan, Volkwin Marg and their partners have planned and constructed buildings in almost all of the major cities in Germany. They are internationally recognised not only for projects such as the New Trade Fair in Leipzig, Rimini Exhibition Centre or the Christ Pavilion for EXPO 2000, but also for their designs. These include Berlin’s central station, completed in 2006, and the restructuring and roofing of the Berlin Olympic stadium. gmp has won more than 460 prizes in national and international competitions, including more than 260 first prizes and numerous awards for exemplary architecture. More than 310 buildings have been completed to date.
